Local Utility PTC Rates Increasing<\/h2>\n

Starting December 1, 2021, several PA utilities will hike their price to compare (PTC) rates. Met-Ed and West Penn Power plus PECO will all be raising their PTC rates higher than before. But don\u2019t get hot under the collar! After all, you can check out other available electric plans<\/a>. So, let’s see what PA electricity consumers\u00a0can expect these PTC increases. Then, let’s look at how you can get a better deal on electricity rates in your area.<\/p>\n

Met-Ed Increases PTC Rate by 4%<\/h3>\n

In southeast PA, Met-Ed’s\u00a0new PTC rate<\/a> hikes the PTC rate by 4%. Assuming an average PA electricity customer<\/a>\u00a0uses 846 kWh per month,\u00a0customers paying the Met-Ed PTC rate could see their monthly bills breakdown like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
