“ This company is by far the worst. Its a 3rd party company so if there is ever a problem nothing will get solved. They charged me extra and said they cant refund because of them being 3rd party. Also Ive never heard of a company who charges a monthly fee only to charge you for using their service as well. This isnt a membership where we get benefits we should pay for the service we use not have to pay to get billed monthly also. I cant wait til my lease is up so I can leave this nice community all because they only service novec. Dominion was so much better! ”
“ We received a notice in the mail from Columbia Gas that we had chosen Novec Energy Solutions to be our supplier of natural gas. We never heard of this company til we received the postcard. When we called Novec to get an answer as to who authorized it they said they did not have access to that information. The person who answered the phone said he would direct it to the "back office". I requested to be transferred to the "back office" but he said he couldn't. If you get signed up with this company without your authorization, file a complaint to put a stop to these illegal practices! ”
“ I received a postcard saying I requested to switch my supplier. I called Columbia Gas and they said they were notified I have consented over the phone. I did not! I have never heard of this company much less requested a change of supplier. Very shady business practices!!! Fortunately it was caught before any changes were made. ”
“ This company signed me up with out my permission. Now the public utilities commission and BBB is now involved. Stay away run far away ”
“ I signed up with a new gas supplier on March 2, 2020 as their rates were lower and received a letter of confirmation. Then on May 18, 2020 I received an email from them saying they were sad to see me go. I called that company and they said the cancellation came from Columbia Gas; I called Columbia Gas and they said I had Novec as my supplier. I had never heard of this company, and obviously never asked to switch. I called Novec and they said I requested to switch to them via phone on May 5, 2020. I never talked to anyone at their company; I never answer phone numbers that are unknown to me, there are too many scammers and marketers out there. How they got my information to switch companies, I'll never know. I think other consumers should be aware. Their rates were significantly higher than the rate I was paying. ”
