  These agents came to my home and educated my family on the laws of deregulation! The stuff the distribution service neglected to tell us. With this service we were able to get a great fixed rate! With 100% Renewable energy we received the tax credit and $100 perk dollars for the account$$$$ Recommended my Grandma to Switch!

  It was surprisingly informative the rep had a answer to all my questions explaining in detail about the 100% green energy and perks and rebates as well as a fixed price lower then the s.s.o protecting me from the inflation of variable rates and increases from the utility

  They offer a hundred percent renewable energy, $150 in perk money, and the agent that came by provided me all the information I needed to know, gave me his contact information, and the phone numbers to Residents, Centerpoint, and AES. The verification call is alittle long though.

  I don't know how I was switch to this fly by night operation that is charging me way over the going rate. if the only way they can get victims sorry customers is slamming just shows you how low life they rally are. Stay away from them at all coasts. I never signed up for them but am being billed out rages rates. I never signed up for them and never would. You are being warned!

Doubled our charges when we declined to renew with them!!!

  We canceled our service with Residents and the last bill we got from them they had doubled our charges so our electric bill was over $200 for the first time in our lives!!! We do NOT recommend this company!!

Fraud, scam company

  this is a scam company. they stole my data and connected me to them. I even know where and how they got my data. I never saw them and never showed them anything. Either they stole my whites from me almost or they were given my data without my consent by some other company. But these are fraudsters who breed for money

  Yesterday, a salesperson knocked on my door and told me Ameren sent him to let me know that Ameren is not going to provide my electricity and I need to sign a contract with Resident Energy. I told him I had not received any notice from Ameren. He said it was in my bill (it was not!). He asked me to show him my email so he could show it to me. I opened my email. He saw my name, asked for my last name, and then filled out a form for me. I told him I was not going to sign anything. He became angry(like I was the one who was wasting his time!) and said I had to. So basically what I see here is fraud and harassment and taking advantage of the fact that I'm an international student and not familiar with the routines in the USA. Today, I called them to complain and cancel the contract. I'm going to share my experience with my school lawyers, so they can inform other students of this kind of fraud.

Elderly Scam

  My mom's account, some how got switched to Residents Energy, LLC. They were with COMED. I have switched the account back to COMED, and the person at COMED told me to call Residents Energy, LLC and get a confirmation number for my records. I was on hold yesterday for two hours to get to a human. Today, I have been on hold for 1 hour. I really don't think anyone is going to answer the phone. The energy charges with Residents Energy, LLC is four (4) times higher than the current charges for COMED. Don't know how my mom got this company, and I probably will never know, because NO HUMAN is going to answer the call.

  Just recently I got a phone bill and it was over 3 times more than it should have been. I come to find out that you guys canceled my account without my permission. So you were going to stick me with extra charges. I never authorized any cancelation of my account.

  My 84 year old mother in law was talked into switching from ComEd and promised savings on her electrical supply. The first 6 bills had very little discount. The bills after that jumped up and are destroying her budget (the bills use to be about $150-$180 per month and jumped to $276 and $341 for months 7 and 8). When we call Residents Energy and tell them we want to cancel our agreement, they tell us that we are not locked in and can go anywhere. When we call ComEd, they tell us they can't take us back because the account is locked to Residents Energy. I feel that this company is targeting the elderly because they are more likely to not fight them.
