“ They jacked the rate up to 23.79. New customers were offered 13.9 when I called to question this and get my rate lowered they did nothing to help. Told me Amy change would result in a penalty fee! Customer loyalty means absolutely nothing to them!!!!! With them for over 5 years tolerated the small price increases but this was ridiculous. They did nothing to keep me as a customer. When contract is up so is my business with them!!! Furious! ”
“ Perhaps the worst consumer experience ever. For starters, the per kilowatt rate is 50% more than the the local utility providers, and the below market rates advertised are promotional. Classic bait and switch. It is purposefully difficult to cancel without being gouged a $150 cancellation fee. Front line CSRs not allowed to be flexible, and supervisors are always unavailable. The promised "call backs" never materialize. Hours of time wasted. ”
“ Viridian Energy constantly has trouble with billing options. The phone number on the bill is for TriEagle and I have to spend 30 minutes to an hour trying to get a customer service person who can help me in Texas. This is a monthly occurance. Last month I paid for my February bill and they took out the same amount at the end of the month. They did not have authorization to do so as I did not sign up for auto draft. The customer service agent basically argued with me that I paid that second installment which went toward my current balance. I paid the balance and set up auto draft and neither was processed nor did they have a record of it or a record of the agent I spoke to as well as no notes were made about my call. They are a nightmare to deal with I have never had issues with any other electricity provider. I have asked to speak with a supervisor on several occasions and never receive a call back. My suggestion... run, do not walk away from this company. They will only cause stress and headaches for you! ”
“ After 33 months on a 36-month contract, I telephoned Viridian at least 4 times and was repeatedly assured by multiple levels of personnel that I could terminate one month early without penalty. Sure enough, they all lied and now Viridian is attempting to collect 150.00 penalties even though I was with them for 34 of 36 months! ”
