Bounce Energy was founded in 2008 in Houston, Texas and has since become one of the fastest growing retail electricity providers in the state. Bounce has been innovative with the technology options in their customer account management software and have a variety of different rewards programs from which a customer can select. They're extremely active with their customers on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media outlets and their customers also can take advantage of one of the most robust refer-a-friend programs available. In 2012 they received the highest level of excellence from JD Power & Associates customer surveys, and they've consistently been ranked as one of the Top 2 of my Texas Electricity Ratings since 2011. I'd say they've come a long way since opening their doors in 2008. Bounce Energy has recently expanded their service into New York and Pennsylvania.

Set-up everythig online without issues

  I figured to write the review for this company since I've been with them for almost six months. I arranged everything online, no issues, no problems, just had to fax over some docs that they needed. Good cust service when i called to ask why they need my driver's license. i'd really reccomend this company. You get your bill to your email and everything is really smooth. No need to talk/deal with anyone. Higly reccomend.

  I have been set up for a little over over a month and the rate went from the advertised 6.1 to 6.9 on my first bill to 12.2 on the 2nd? But they are still offering 4.1 to sign up.

Tired of holding for customer service

  So tired of waiting for customer service as once they have your service they will
not allow you to talk to anyone. Currently on hold for over 22 minutes....this is
unexceptable.

The World's WORST customer service

  Bounce Energy has the world's WORST customer
service ever. If the plans are a lot cheaper in
Bounce Energy, I would recommend to choose any
other companies out there. When you call, they
will make you spend at least 30 minutes to
solve your any kinds of problems. Their
representatives have nothing that they can do,
and will ask to find out the problem or
transfer you to another department while
holding you on. Even they are doing, they make
mistakes with every single things. Then they
don't know what happened, after those mistakes
are made. Their calls are hung up so easily in
my area, and they will never call you back even
though you request. Sometimes, even those
representatives are VERY RUDE!! They yell at
your ear on the phone. At least one thing to
remember.... If you don't wanna spend your
precious time with clumsy, rude customer
service representatives, don't choose this
company.

Beware of False Promotions

  At the time I switched their prices were very low and they had good reviews. Their prices are now higher than most other providers in my area, but prices do fluctuate and that's to be expected. My problem with Bounce is that their sales department made promises about promotional rates to get me to switch that the company has refused to honor. I've called customer service several times and the front line people are always very nice and understanding and agree that the company should give me what they promised, but they aren't able to do anything themselves. They transfer you to their "escalations department" where you wait on hold forever (once for over an hour) and once you finally reach someone (decidedly less friendly) they say they will research the problem and call you back. They always promise to call back with 24-48 hours and then days or weeks later they call back and leave you a voice mail message and say they aren't going to honor their sales agents' promise. Buyer beware.

Bounce energy is a good one

  We signed up a year ago with bounce energy (we were with TXU). Signed up to recieve a companion airfare ticket and a kwh rate of $.098 (at the time it was the lowest fixed rate, 12 months). Enrolled in auto pay. Everything was delivered as promised. We referred a friend in the 3rd month, so we recieved a $50 bill credit, a $25 bill credit for paying the first 3 months on time, and our electric bill for the month of october was $7.56! However, now the $.092 renew rate is a little high compared to others, so we are shopping around again. Airfare ticket promotion has no blackouts - only restriction is US travel in lower 48 and 1 year from issuance date. Fee of the airfare ticket is broken out by zones, rates start at $230 and go to $630 average about $500. Price for 2 people still beats expedia by at least $100 or so.

  Bounce Energy has saved me so much money over the last year. My bills were anywhere from $200 to $300 lower than they were in the same house with TXU. I have an even better rate now. I have referred many friends who are very pleased as well with Bounce energy.

  Bounce Energy is the BEST company I've ever had (and not just for electricity). Being a Bounce Energy customer makes me and my family feel like there is a good company out there that truly cares about their customers and does not consider us just another number. Their rewards program gives us every incentive to pay on-time and to remain a customer! All of their products that I've seen are truly one of a kind - their billing is vibrant and communicates extremely well to the customer base on what their bill contains and their messaging is updated on a monthly basis to keep us informed of different promotions, holidays and company changes. Additionally, their MyAccount provides easy account management and they've also provided their customers with an iphone app which is great. Their customer service is so warm and kind and they resolve all of our issuesThey keep in touch with the latest and greatest technology and keep HIGH on top of what everyone else is doing. I'll be a customer forever

Started well, but customer service deteriorated

  After about a year and a half with Bounce, which began well, I have had numerous billing and customer service issues in the past two to three months. Contacting them to update my account has been frustrating. The customer service hours have been reduced from 7am-10pm and are now 8am-5pm, making it difficult to reach them. They refuse to allow my husband to make changes, despite adding him to the account about a year ago. When I have called, the Bounce line has me on hold for long periods of time, then just disconnects without anybody taking the call. When my husband did finally reach a person, he was not permitted to make changes, despite having been added to the account a year ago. Our last bill was about $175 higher than usual with no explanation. Ironically, this comes one month before the incentive of $150 off the bill is to take effect. I lack confidence the credit will appear on the next statement. It seems they have gone downhill rather abruptly in the past few months.

Just joined with Bounce!

  I started to sign up with Mega Energy, but read
so many bad reviews on here that I decided to
cancel. Luckily I was within the grace period
for cancelling. I signed up for Bounce energy
and it was super simple, and it was a great rate
at 8.9 for 12 months. Sure some rates are
lower, but I would rather have a company that
was reviewed well. If you are joining you can
earn rewards for referring friends.

  This is my 2nd year with Bounce, its great to have a provider that gives you something BACK for being a loyal customer. I received $75 on my 13 bill just for paying my bill on time. Also, easy to use online bill pay. Thanks Bounce for keeping up your end of the bargain.

Bounce Energy is much better than TXU.

  6 Months ago I switched to Bounce Energy from TXU and there is a world of difference.1. Bounce Energy has lower prices than TXU.2. The ELS level is 1500 on a Bounce energy plan while TXU was 2000, I have not had to pay any fees for not using enough electricity. TXU always hit me for this fee.3. The $60 discount code when signing up took three bills to show but was nice when it did.4. I value paying my bills on time and Bounce Energy rewards me for my good behavior, something TXU always managed to screw up. My AMC movie tickets are on the way, I love it.5. The customer service has been great I haven't had to have any contact with Bounce Energy since I signed up. When I was with TXU I had to talk to a person I could not understand that I could tell was in INDIA every other bill because they would over charge me constantly.I recommend that everybody check out Bounce energy's web site and check out what their plan for your area and the cost per kw.Bounce Energy is great.

no disconnect notice

  Because I usually pay online and our server was
down, I tried - in vain - over and over to pay
my bill by phone. Everytime I would enter my
account number, the electronic voice would
repeat it incorrectly. I spent 15 minutes
retrying it. The next day, I again tried with
the same result, but finally thought my payment
went through. My payment was not late.

A week later, our lights suddenly went out at 7
a.m. I had absolutely no disconnect notice or
any other notice. When I tried to find out
what happened, I was informed that "Bounce
Energy is open from 8 - 5, Monday through
Friday." So much for customer service!!!

  Have received several rewards, the last a free month of electricity up to $150. this month. Something to smile about. Also, I have their Green energy plan, "Blue Sky." I pay a bit more but feel I am contributing in some small way to the good of our mother earth.

  With all the options we have for energy providers in Texas it can be hard to weed through all of the Terns of Service options searching for hidden fees and charges. Not with Bounce Energy. Simple easy to read billing with no hidden fees. Great customer service and straight up billing plus some nice customer perks and plenty of rebate options makes me a truly happy customer.
