“ Clearview gets you to switch with their low-rate contract term. However, they give you NO NOTICE of what the variable rate will be when that contract expires. After my Clearview contract expired, my rate skyrocketed from $0.1109 to $0.2009 per kWh - that's an 81% increase! And the "price to compare" from PSE&G was only $0.1261 for that period. Clearview's variable rate is larcenous, plain and simple! Don't get caught! ”

A Clearview sales agent came to my door and had me sign up for the program having convinced me that all I was doing was just "updating my energy supplier" and that it was something that would eventually happen with the whole neighborhood. It was a dirty trick, I fell for it, and I blame myself mostly.
The contract that I signed had a period of two weeks where I could renege if I called, which I did after reading the reviews. I called twice: first to cancel, second to make sure the cancel was processed. Both within the first few days after signing.
I get my bill three months later and Clearview is my supplier. They didn't process my cancelation and I ended up paying much more than I should have.
Avoid Clearview like it's the plague. ”

“ I recently reviewed my bill to notice that Clearview was supplying my electric. I was unaware i was signed up with them. I called them and asked when that took place and who signed up. They could not provide any proof that we signed up with them. I nor my wife signed up. Watch out for this company. ”
“ The person who wrote about the bad customer service is right! I called to ask about their rate and probably switch to their service but after being told in the automated message that I was number 1 in line and my wait time would be 1 minute ten minutes went by with no one answering. I hung up and will not try again. With that kind of customer service you have to wonder what kind of company it really is and be fairly sure that when you need to change your plan or question your rate they will not be there to assist you. ”
“ I signed an 18 month fixed rate contract. They make it impossible to get in contact with them to figure out how to renew your contract before it expires. The reason they do this is because as soon as your contract expires, they double your rate. I went from 14 cents per kWh to 28 cents per kWh. Huge scam! ”

“ At the end of contract term, Clearview more than quadrupled kW rate without notice. Called and agreed to renew contract if they would prorate the rate hike. They refused. I paid the $980 bill (usually $200) and parted ways. Now they call me twice a week and ask if I'll come back. No. ”
“ In January of 2024, Clearview sent me a bill of $1,702.26. During my first year with them, my rate was at 0.1079 reasonable and affordable. After my first year, they put me on an adjusted rate that skyrocketed by more than double my first year rate resulting in the drastic increase of my bill. My bill went from $124-$156 per month to $1,702.26 per month. As a small business owner, I do not have the ability or funds to pay for it. I called Clearview to see my options of whether my bill could be lowered or for help with the bill but they refused to help me. Every time I called, they said a supervisor or manager was not available and was in a meeting. Do not use Clearview energy because they do not care about their customers and will not attempt to help you with your needs. Clearview electric has been nothing but a pain and I will not return to their services. I am just letting people know not to use clear services. ”

“ They gave me the run around for 3 months. Charging me 24.99 cents a klw when they said I would get a rate of 0.07 a month. When I call they say I will have someone call you back and they never call. When i asked about the rate the say ops yea we made a mistake we will fix it by your next bill, but you have to pay the 200 you owe now. I ask to talk to a manager and they say not available. I ask why are they not available no answer. Keep saying they will call you. I said I am doe with you. They said but you have a contract. I say there's no contract because you did not live up to your end. Put a fork in me I ma so done. ”
“ This is another company that does high-pressure sales tactics to get you to sign a contract, but later piles on high fees when you need to get out of it. Stay away. Termination fees for any service should be illegal. ”

I called Clearview to ask 2 questions about their service in order to decide if I want to become a Clearview customer.
A lady answered - I tried to tell her the reason for my call. About 8 seconds in she immediately screamed to the top of her voice....
"DON'T CALL ME AND TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB."
I said to her, "What is the matter with you, lady. Are you stupid?"
She said "Yeah, I'm stupid" I hung up.
I waited awhile and called back to tell someone else in that office what this lady just said to me. A man answered and told me "You should have let her talk for 3 minutes" and then he hung up.
These people represent Clearview Energy.
I think this happened on Sept 14th between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm. I have tried to forget this. I wonder if the good hard working people of Clearview would be disgusted if they knew these people represent them. ”
“ The guy at my door told me they work along with Eversouce. He asked to see my eversouce bill. He said they could knock of 7% of my eversouce bill. Then he asked if I would sign a " approval letter" to see if I " qualified " for the program. Little did I know, when 6 moths later a bill came through my email. ( I gave him my email because he said if I got approval, they would bill me through my email) Then, he had me talk to a representative on the phone, so I could hear from her that I would save 7% of my bill. Well, it was a total lie. They don't work with Eversouce. The 7% was of off their rate. Which literally triples. Then, that " approval letter" was actually a contract. They never notified me till 9 months into my bill. I don't know how that even happened. Now, I canceled as soon as I knew I got scammed. In the contract it says I have to pay for 8 months more before I can finally quit paying them. As they tripled my bill. This company is a fraud and liars. They should be shut down by the Attorney Generals office( which I notified and the said it was a scam). Now, I cringe everytimevI see their name with my new invoice. I'm one step away from just destroying my credit. That's how they blackmail you.They know they can ruin your credit overnight. ”

In the year 2022. I lived in Arlington MA.
The Clearview Energy plan some how got my info and put my address into the account and replace the original account of me by another electric company.
* A few month later ClearView Energy started increasing the cost of service 27%. As a result, the bill be come much more higher cost than any other vendors.
* So I called many times to Customer service and requested to cancel the an-authorized electric plan from this company.
* Somehow, the Clearview did NOT release my plan to my request and triples the electric cost. I lived in a studio and myself adding a lot money for temp insulation. As a result, my energy usages reduce 30% however, the company continue to increase the "transferring service". So witt the lower than any normal apartment usage of electric 25%, I still got their bill $350.00 per months.
* Lastly, we moved away from MA to LA and join with other company. Also we did again calls plus request to discontinue the online account. The company still tried to charge on my bank account $350.00 for the month that I did not live in the old address. So it force me to call my bank to ban the illegal charge from Clearview. With my final call stated that I would sue the company, then the customer service begin to recognize their illegal charges.
* Even those somehow, 3 months later their WEB site still automatically sent me a $10.00 bill for "late" payment. So this is kind of abusing! I called them again and asked stope abusing email.
All are the true. I still keep every evidences. I swore never ever let this company touch me again.

These people knocked on my door convinced me to sign up for their service told me it would lower my bill , basically said I had to switch .....stay away from this company they are deceitful they lie and your bill will go up mine did over $107 per month

“ Clearview Energy are nothing but con artists. Hooked me in with a low rate and then after my contract was up proceeded to charge me .16 KWH as opposed to .093. Almost double the going rate . I feel as though I've been violated as I was unaware of the gross overcharge for many months . ”
