“ I've never had any issues with Bounce. I have no company loyalty, and simply chose them because it was the lowest price when I was moving into my apartment back in February 2013. I got a 12 month 5.4c KwH plan at the time (Which is pretty decent from what I've seen). I never had any late payments, and the reward system for this is okay... but to be honest, you don't really notice it as much of a benefit or perk because they're pretty insignificant and the price to have electricity in the first place overshadows them. And as for the other promotions they throw at you throughout the year, I didn't see any of the cost savings reflected in my bills, so there's no way to know if it even had any effect.You get a monthly usage report with estimated cost of service, and some newsletters on what you can do to save electricity which is convenient I suppose. I've never had to deal with customer service, so I can comment on whether or not it's any good. I decided to go ahead and leave this review, because it's now time for renewal, and the KwH rate is double what I signed up for in the beginning. So it's time to go Electric company shopping again to see if I can get a better deal somewhere else, and another lucky hand of not having any billing issues...If you're looking for an electric company, and you're reading this... it just seems to be the luck of the draw and getting the service at the right time of the year when the rates are lowest. In the end, they're all just big corporations with shareholders who want more money so they can buy another beach house they'll never visit. Just shop until you find a low rate, without a bunch of gargantuan hidden fees and taxes. ”

Like I've seen on some other reviews here & on other sites, there are a decent number of issues that come with using Bounce. I've never had billing issues, so I can't speak to those. The only issues I've had have involved claiming rewards. A couple of times I was in line for a reward & chose a gift card. Apparently gift cards are handled by a third party and there must have been a breakdown in getting my info to them. I did have to call customer service to get this fixed & while it took a few tries, I was never on hold for an unreasonable amount of time - probably 5 minutes max. In the end I said screw the gift card & took the $50 bill credit instead. All in all, I got $50 just for paying my bill on time. Yea there was a little more hassle than I would've liked, but I can suck it up for free money.
The rewards are a really nice perk though. So far I've gotten 2 $50 referral credits (one for using someone elses referral & one for referring a friend), 2 movie tickets from Fandango, a $50 bill credit for 12 on time payments (this is where I had the gift card issue), a $15 Walmart gift card & a free month of energy for 24 on time payments (they take your 2 year average, so this came out to about $75 for me). All in all, it's about $260 in rewards over two years.
There are some hassles, but nothing's hassle free.

1st off, get everything in email or writing from this company. Their customer service does not stand by what they say. On multiple occasions, they have lied to make me get off the phone or talk to their supervisor. e.g. "Oh, we found your missing Promo and will be applied in next month cycle." and it never shows up in system.
Now the review and my personal experience:
During my 1st enrollment my $50 joining Promotion disappeared.
During my 1st enrollment my $50 refer a friend bill credit was denied on the basis that 1st payment was late, even after my bank confirmed that they actually issued the check for 1st payment to reach Bounce on 7/26 and due date was 7/28 and delay was from Bounce side. ( I have been using Bill Pay with my Bank for over 10 years and never had late payment or missed dates.)
I had called customer service after 1st enrollment to confirm both the above rewards.
My 1st plan was 7 month custom plan with No early termination fees. (I can still pull that up from my plan details. But I was charged $150 early termination fees.)
I rejoined as Bounce was offering $50 as "Come Back" promo and $75 as another Promo code (1409143). I again, do not see those in my Promotion.
Looks like Bounce is running the scam in terms of promotions.

“ My card expired on 1st of the month and bill was due on 5th. They did not even email me that there was a problem with payment they just disconnected my service on 6th at 5 in the morning! Guess the bill amount was 77$ only. I had 16 straight months of on time payment record but they din't think twice that there must be some genuine error.i had even enjoyed the on time payment reward. The customer service was deplorable the agent was insensitive. I have never ever seen such rude and rash treatment. I live in apartment and I am completely dependent on electricity. It took them 2 hours to reconnect after payment processing. I could not even heat milk for my kids had to go to sis's place immediately. Beware! ”

I signed up for a promotional rate. After the first month they bumped the rate to "market rates" that were 70% higher than any rate I'd pay with any other company. I stuck it out because, due to a refer a friend promotion, there was a $50 bill credit after three months of on time payments.
Ha ha! After three months, I called to let them know I was switching. No problem, said the rep, the credit would appear on the final bill. The final bill arrived without the credit. When I called, they explained that the terms and conditions say the credit cannot be applied to the final bill.
