  I just received my first electric bill with Just Energy. It was 3 times more expensive than the rate from West Penn Power. I called, they offered to lower my rate, but with the lower rate, it was still 2 times the West Penn Power rate. I'll take my chances with the market fluctuation. Not happy with this service. Won't ever use Just Energy again. Was led to be believe my rate would be less not more. Don't be suck into their sales pitch. So sorry I listened and I know better than this

Deceptive sales practice

  Signed up to try new company for natural gas. With variable rates they would cap at .79 cents per ccf. Dte was charging .29 cents per ccf and then a charge for distribution and recovery added to it for a total of 1.03 total cost. Just energy immediately charged me their .79 cent cap plus I was still charged distribution and recovery by DTE making my per ccf cost 1.38 plus another. 10 cent charge on top of there max cap price. I cancelled my account with them and they continued to charge me the agreed upon cap price of .79 plus a .10 that I don't r recall being discussed for the next month. My has bill would have been 226.47 with DTE and is instead 311.18 just energy. They are bullshit and will cheat you anyway they can buyer BEWARE!!!! They are Not what they say... read fine print and remember if it sounds to good to be true it isn't real.

Free nights and weekends don't seem free

  I signed up for the free nights and weekends because my son grandson and daughter-in-law moved in with me and I needed a cheaper energy plan so I thought I was getting a good deal with a free nights and weekends I didn't. my build jumped higher and they're not here now and my bill is still high

Very Rude Customer Service Phone rep

  The rep I had on the phone kept hanging up on me after I asked about rates. Every time I called back and asked him the same thing he would keep hanging up. Very unproffessional. Train your reps better.

My bill wasn't cheaper

  I was told I was over paying with TXU with a 200 dollar bill, but just energy sent me a 245 dollar bill. I'll be going back to txu. I shouldn't have switched. This is why I don't stop and listen to sells pitch while shopping in sams

Horrible company

  Just energy has been an absolute nightmare to use! The customer service is beyond a joke and unhelpful. I have yet to be able to make a payment in any way beyond calling customer service and being charged more money to pay my bill through them because I can't pay any other way. The customer service don't listen to your issues. They don't try to trouble shoot.
The prices of the service are insane! What you think you'll pay vs what you actually end up paying are going to be very two different amounts.

The worst electrical company

  This was one of the worst experiences of my life! Just Energy customer service and managers will never help you or answer the phones. You will wait on average 2-3 hours before you get anything resolved. I can't believe I got swindled into going with this company. Save your sanity and your time and don't bother working with them. TXU is so much better!

Failed cancelation

  Wife called to cancel service to residence due to selling home. Just energy failed to cancel service on date requested. I have requested to hear or a copy of the phone conversation that they are basing their decision on. They will not provide it. Make sure to put your request in writing or they will bill you for service not received.

  Order service and paid my deposit. Told me it would be turned on on the 4th of January. On the 19th my son said light was off. I called and they said they needed more documentation from. Never received a call nor email. Lost everything in fridge. Not happy at all.

  It will be a year next month since Tara energy and just energy fraudulently switched my electricity without my permission. The call was recorded so they know the truth. I have read alot of the owners responses about how sorry they are to all the people they have screwed. Just talk. I still await a phone call, an answer and justice

Avoid Just Energy!!!

  I activated an account and switched to Just Energy on November 18th. Come to find out a month later, they never activated my account! They also autosigned me up for some BS Terrapass carbon offset scam and have been billing me for that! I have been stuck at variable rate(15cents/kwh) for a month because Just Energy is incompetent. Please pick another provider.

Sams Club Promotion

  A man pitched me in sams club and I signed up to get my energy supply from Just Energy, he was super nice and was very knowledgeable, and it saved me on my bill while giving me gift cards! I would get a membership to Sams just for the electric!

High Bill

  I was told that the bill will be cheaper, but when I saw a bill today. It's higher than what I got charged from another electric company. My electric bill never goes up over $100 my usually charge around $80, but my current bill with Just Energy is $115. The sales rep told me that it will go down. Instead of going down, it goes up. That's not a good point of changing the company

A lot of things can contribute to high electricty bills and affect your rate. That's why we added the average bill calculation for our dallas electricity rates. You can adjust your estimated usage up and down, and figure out what your average bill would be over a 12 month period.

Absolutely Ridiculous!!!!

  A solicitor came to my house while I was at work, and told my boyfriend he worked for JUST ENERGY, and my boyfriend told the guy that if he wanted to continue that he would have to call me and ask, I never received a call from the man and yet some how they felt that it would be okay to go ahead and TRY to switch my service over without permission!!! Lucky I was able to stop the switch and continue the service with the company I actually gave PERMISSION to control my energy!! And now they have the AUDACITY to still charge a bill for a service that wasnt even authorized for than a day!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!

  I signed at Sams club in Burleson, Tx. I was told Id receive no oncore charges and .09 per kw. When I got my first bill it was all a lie. I still had oncore charges. When I called customer service they were like too bad you signed and didnt read. Then I said so yall lie to people so theyll sign thats how yall get business? I was told Id have to pay early cancellation fee and they werent taking it off. So I let them know every time I go to Sams and see someone signing Im going to tell them make sure you read all that cause they lie.

$20 Notice of Disconnect 3 days after due date

  It is egregious and greedy to send out and charge a $20 Notice of Disconnect three days after the due date on a residential account. The late fee charged is reasonable and appropriate in that timeframe. But the $20 Notice of Disconnect three days after the due date is a greedy and a desperate over reach.Since Just Energy ( the owner of Amigo, Hudson, Tara and others) is trying to bounce back from its bankruptcy you would think the best approach would be to attract and retain customers, not shake them down for a one time fee and risk the customer getting upset and leaving Just Energy, and letting everyone they know not to use them.I also feel it is dishonest and sneaky that the portal had the "Pay" amount to include the $20 fee but no where on the site did I see an itemized charge for $20 DN - I discovered it by calling Just and questioning the charge. It is likely an intended tactic so that the unsuspecting customer doesn't realize what they are charged and will likely get hit with a similar charge in the future.

Dishonest company

  I was told by a sales rep at Sam's Club that if I switch to just energy they would cover my early termination fee from my previous electric provider. When I got my early termination fee bill of $400 from my previous electric provider, I asked for my refund from just energy but they told me they only cover up to $150. So I paid $400 to switch electric companies! I was also told that I wasn't in a contract and then I find out I have a three-year plan. This company doesn't care how they make their money they will lie steal and cheat to get it. Don't trust this company and their sales reps.
