Worst service I have experienced

  I have never had a worse experience with an Energy company. I have been harassed in my email about threats to endanger my credit even after Ive made contact on numerous occasions to get things set up properly. Would not recommend, if you want a XXX.xxx bill by all means these are the guys for you. But Ill never go back.

No Accountability

  I have been on phone calls with Just Energy for over 3 hours today dealing with erroneous charges on my account. Per my contract, I was not to be assessed any ETF. When I received the charge, I called and the service associate assured me that the charges were removed from my account. I called back to make a final payment on my account, and the representative informed me that the account no longer reflected the waived ETF. Now I am back on hold to go through this process all over again.
I have repeatedly had trouble hearing the agents and many of the agents are unable to discuss and comprehend the charges as they are listed on my bill. When questioned, they always defer to another department. This causes the customer to have to re-explain the situation too many times over the course of one phone conversation.
I have to laugh about the message played while on hold. They claim to be the number 1 energy provider in Houston, but there are no other accolades from the multitude of states that they serve. I hope others stay away from this company because they will send you through a never ending cycle without any direct answers to your concerns.

Just Canceled This Energy Provider After ONLY 2 Months!

  When switching to this company 2 months ago, they made it sound like they were the best provider out there! Why do they have to solicit at Sam's Club then? I did not buy it at Sam's (should have...they were offering some incentive!) I called them on my own. The provider that I did have was half the price! Living on SS...you need the best deals. When I received my bill in the mail, I was in shock! I have never had a bill so high since leaving the major supplier 6 - 7 years ago. I called and there was no dealing with them. Not only can I not afford to pay this doubled bill, they are charging me nearly $200 to cancel. I went with another company immediately. They misrepresented theirselves! This free nights is BS! We don't even use hardly any electricity after 6pm. I turn off all the lights anyway, but after 6 pm, the TV is about all that is on. Don't be fooled by this company! Rip-Off Energy is their new name in my book!

Just awful!

  I am new to the country and did some research and then called Just Energy. They sold me a 5 year plan without telling me about the additional costs when I specifically asked about them it. When I called to correct it, I got the worst possible service. First they told me I needed to go to billing department which then told me I needed to go to the renewals department. Just no one wanted to correct it or help me. I ended up cancelling my account. Just awful service!

Got scammed by Just Energy at Sam's Club (Lost customer on first bill)

  I was approached at Sams club by Just Energy representatives a month ago asking me to see my current electricity bill, I showed him and he said that he have some real good deal for 9.5 Cents KWh that is including TDU delivery charges and I just have to pay $4-$5 in taxes on top of 9.5 Cents KWh, I was paying 10.5 Cents all inclusive with previous company and he calculated my bill with his offered plan that I would have saved $70 if I have his plan on same uses, usualy I don't sign up for this kind of services without doing online research but he said that Just Energy have affiliation with Sams and being a Sam's customer for over 30 years, I decided to sign up and asked him twice to make sure that TDU charges are included in 9.5 cents and told me that it is all included in 9.5 Cents and I just have to pay $5 taxes on top of this, he satisfied me and I signed up for the service, today I got my first bill and I was surprised to see that Just energy charged me 14.2 Cents KWh including delivery charges for $108.00, I called customer service and I asked why your representative scammed me to make his sales commission by giving me wrong information, the lady told me that maybe I heard him wrong, I told her that I asked him same thing over ten times how I could have heard wrong, please be aware this is a scam company, please do not sign for service with Just Energy and do not believe what they tell you in Sam's Club. I am going to send a email to Sam's Club corporate office to look in to this matter and stop them from using Sam's reputation to scam innocent people.

Bill does not reflect what is advertised on facts label

  Don't waste your time with these guys. They throw in a hidden fee and do not charge what they say on the facts label. I switch power companies every 3 to 4 months to get the lowest rate and most other power companies are honest on their facts label. These guys don't disclose the $9.99 "Green Charge" they will hit you with every month. Literally the ONLY charge on the bill that does not fluctuate from month to month, the "Green Charge" is not openly disclosed... What kind of company does that? The facts label says you will average 9.1 cents/KWH for 2,000 KWH. I'm actually paying 10.3 cents/KWH. All the other companies are pretty spot on with what they say vs what you get.

  I really wonder how this company has so many good reviews on here wondering if its legit I decided to change to this company at a sams like most have and everything sounded great, I left TXU because I honestly thought I would no longer make payments of $200. Pfff it was worse, first bill was 230 and the second was 260 i hate this company, its trash, such a bad experience

Unfortunate

  I had signed up with this company to began supplying electricity to my home in Granbury Texas around March of 2021. My husband passes away on February 20, 2021. I was hoping to cut my bills down enough to be able to continue in my home of 32 years, but I could not. I placed my home for sale in August and it sold. I called Just Energy and gave them my new address, etc. I was informed by the lady I talked to they would close and send my closing bill. Nothing was said about leaving my contract early since I was moving to another city.
Now they are hitting me for early cancellation even though I moved away. I live in an apartment in Grapevine to be near my family. I did not have $375. to pay the entire bill so just paid the electrical usage of $199. Now they have turned me over to a collection agency and treating to ruin my credit. I called the number they listed and he wanted me to promise I would send payment on September 18th when I get my SS check. I told him that was silly as I told him I wouldthen he says Do You Promise. I told him NO I would not promise as I told him I would. Thats ridiculous.
Now, I was never told that I could continue with them in Grapevine when I called to discontinue due to moving to another town 80 miles away. I went with the power company that provided electricity to the complex I moved to.
Beware of this company they will get you for everything they can.
I will pay greedy JE when I have the money and they will just have to turn me over to credit bureau. Thats life! I will survive!

Dishonest company, avoid!

  I signed up for a three month promotional contract and was required to complete registration and initial payment over the phone. Unfortunately, the Just Energy employee either recorded the information incorrectly or used someone else's credit card information. As a result, our first month payment did not process and we were charged a late payment fee and a note was made on our record. When I called the company about this, that is when they told me the credit card on file (which did not remotely resemble my credit card number or expiration date). I requested the late fee and note to be removed from my history and they agreed to "look into it." The employee stated they did not have the authority to change it and denied my request to speak with a supervisor. The next month's bill arrived and the late fee was still on there and when I called again to complain, I was also told they would not remove the late payment note on my history for their mistake. I have made complaints with the Public Utility Commission and the Attorney Genera's Office in the hope they force Just Energy into doing the correct thing and to hopefully encourage them to change their shady business practices.

Misleading on price

  These people convinced me at sam that they will lower my price. I was paying about $100 a month for my 2 bedrooms. I not often home but my bill is always high. For the 1st month with just energy, my bill was abiut $50 but i was out of the country for 6 weeks. How on earth have used $50 worth if electricity when I am not there? After that, my bill kept going up. $80 here, $97 there. What's the point of switching if rhe bill is pretty much the same? In addition to their high price, the girl who sign me up said they would pay for my last bill with the other company if I sign with them and I will receive a gift card of $150. Neither one of these promise was fulfilled. They are just misleading people and laying to them.

Completely dumbfounded

  I started today out by chatting with Anita who couldnt understand what I was typing and directed me to sign in to my account, where I clicked on chat again and viola...ANITA. I then attempt to ask questions thinking ok I am logged in, verified this should be easy peasy...nope. I was redirected to an agent who wasnt helpful at all either barely allowed any time to ask a question before closing out the conversation. So I decided to call in...bad move. K spoke with Paul first who was so rude no empathy hugging and puffing like he was annoyed by me when he asked me for my account # and I said oh ok hold on let me get it but it was ok for him to ask me for my name that I had given him at the beginning of the call. Paul proceeded to assist. I let Paul know I have been out of work since 7/30, due 3 of my younger kids getting Covid then I did myself. I returned to work today and also received a disconnect notice with today date over the weekend. I let him know I am not able to pay anything
today, need to know my options. Paul
proceeded to answer, without even acknowledging the fact that k had Covid no empathy anything. He let me know I could pay $156 and some change within 24 hrs of today and remaining amount within 10
Days. He stated my disconnect date was actually today so it needs to be paid today or my services will be disconnected tomorrow. I let him know thats not possible tried to let him know I understand the payment arrangement great can I get a couple more days on the disconnect date or protection on my account at least until 8/25 which I can pay then he of course says no and tells me to call 2-1-1. I couldnt believe this so I request a supervisor. He transfers me to Jabeed who is apart of the escalation que. Jabeed comes on the phone guns a blazing. I ask him for his name and he tells me I need to listen to him cause he is going to tell me what to do. I am instantly offended. He begins to huff and puff annoyed and ready to react to my request instead of respond based on what he heard from Paul. His introduction to our convo set the tone for the call. He told me I need to pay half today and the remaining amount in 10 days. I let him know I cant pay until 8/27, 4 more days I need my account to be protected until that date and then I can pay the remaining half the following Friday on 9/3. He refused to work with me and advised me to call 211 and maybe they can help me even though my electricity will be disconnected tomorrow, 2 of your representatives gave me this an option. Even so kindly told me there were no disconnect notices sent out in February what does that have to do with today?? I paid on time then. I had already confirmed he was apart of an escalation team not a supervisor AP k then requested a supervisor and he refused. Gave the standard reply for your company, his words not mine. I cant speak with anyone above him cause he has to email someone and they call me back within 24-28 hrs. I explained to him several times how would that help me if I have a disconnect notice for today? I would not hang up until I spoke with someone. He continued to be rude then he just went silent for about 15 minutes no hold music hoping I would hang up. I said hello no response then I let him know if he placed me on hold he should have actually placed me on hold so I could hear the music. He begins to say he didnt put me on hold but couldnt explain why he went silent he was not reaching out to a supervisor at the time. I explained to Jabeed several times that I only needed time to pay until 8/25 I could pay half of the balance and remaining amount by 9/3. He insisted I could not pay by then. I mentioned the notice I have shows 8/24. At this point is when I realized Jabeed had not actually reviews my account, as he stated hold on let me review your account to see the disconnect date. This was an hour into the call. He only provided me with information given by Paul. They were set to show me, and they did. AN ENTIRE HOUR BEFORE HE REVIEWED MY ACCOUNT. He apologized for this and at this point he FINALLY began to message his supervisor in an attempt to resolve this issue. His supervisor which is a she refused to speak with me and he refused to give me her name. In order to at least protect my account until 11:59pm on 8/24 as Jabeed mentioned, I agreed to the arrangement he offered to pay 25% of the past due amount. When he was setting this arrangement up at that moment he realized that I did have until 8/25 at 11:59pm to pay not 8/24 at 11:59pm. We went through all this for it to be as I requested. He so rudely told me, you didnt say 8/25. I reminded me of how many times I mentioned that date but he didnt hear me cause he refused to help me. We set the arrangement up and I am still unsure if it is correct since my confidence in Jabeed in this company is so low. This representative, Paul, and the supervisor that assisted treated me so unfairly just to be right and bottom line cruel. They didnt listen they saw my name heard my voice and instantly made the decision to not help me. I cant help but wonder if they saw the name Karen, would they have given better assistance. Is this how your company trains to treat your customers? Especially during times such as these?? He was so belittling and disrespectful when all I need was for my account to be protected from disconnection until 8/26 instead o8/24 cause I could make the half payment on 8/25 at this point to appease this company. I refused to go to 2-1-1. Thats for customers who truly need assistance, I can pay. I just fell on hard times. I have referred 6 of my family members to this company and my daughter is enrolling in September and I am up for renewal. I would like for an AVP or above to call me back ASAP. Not a team lead, supervisor, or anything of that nature. The supervisors name couldnt be given but they even refused to allow me until 8/25 to pay. 1 hour and 30 minutes later I got the results I needed...I hope. Instead of paying 25% as he offered I am paying 50% of the last due amount on 8/25 and remaining amount on 9/3. I have never been so disrespected when I was with Stream and when this contract is up that is who I am returning to.

  The service here is very very bad. The service representatives all seem to have comprehension issues and so its so frustrating to call in to resolve any issue or even ask a simple question. I dread it. I dread it so much I will be changing service providers. Rates are not super great. Just average.

  They will call you all the time and sending threatening notices to cancel, and much worse . When I called to find out about any early termination charges the little girl hung up on me. Terrible customer service you can barely understand them, disappointed with this company, needs to be closed down charging unsuspecting consumers double for supply #fired

Deceiptive marketing

  Do not trust this company for your electric service, I was promised that my electric bill was going to be 60/70 dollars less than what I was paying, and it was the opposite my bills are coming in over 300, what a deception now they want me to pay 175 to change service provider. Im extremely angryat this company, and if I wouldnt go on my credit I would not pay them for breach of contract on their part.

poor service. fine print they dont explain

  moving so wanting transfer of service. want service discontinued at current location on 8/20. want service started at new location 8/18. have 55 days left on contract. you won't honor current contract terms to 10/9 as contract states because im too far into contract. transferring service for 55 days at the current terms sounds like the correct thing to do. in addition 2 late pays so you keep my $100 deposit. neither one feels like your treating me the correct way.
I spent 1.5 hours being pushed to 3 different people. Prior to that I was on hold for 50minutes before you disconnected me.
I think this is worth sharing on the reviews.
