“ Ordered a 10 month plan for less than 6 ckwh. They hooked me up with a 3 month plan. Didnt notify me when it expired and tripled my rate. I have a complaint in with the PUC. DO NOT SIGN UP. THEY ARE CROOKS. Funny thing is i switched after i noticed the con and even with the open investigation they c allex and tried to screw me again. My electric usually runs 265 month summer I received first bill 610.00 checked with company said was adjustment This mint was 587.00 I called company cancelled and ask to speak with supervisor found out my present supplier charge is 7.5 and they were charging me 14.00 How is that savings Supervisor offered to send check for 100.00 WOW Taking up with Sams Club sure I am not only one getting Scammed Buyer BEWARE!!!! ”

Signed up with them under the impression that my bill will not be impacted and that I would no longer have a distribution charge on my bill. Well guess what? My bill went up, the distribution charge was still there and NRG was charging $17.95 for being the supplier along with the $17.06 delivery from BGE. I cancelled with NRG right away after that. Ran into them in WalMart just the other day. I said no straight up and told them why. They said they were not on my bill. Well here is the proof.

“ They lure you in with slightly lower rates in the beginning. The longer you stay with them, the more your rate goes up. I am a single homeowner counting pennies. What a sham, don't know how you get away with it. Would you like to credit me some money? Never in my 16 years in this house have my gas bills been this high. ”

Once the 3 months was up, my bill shot up by over $300. requested to cancel. request was ignored. here we are 3 months later and my account has just now been cancelled, but for the past 2 months, my electric bills have been over$600! I have sent multiple emails, chatted with someone on the NRG website. I was offered $75 refund check for my troubles. That doesn't quite cover $1200 in electric bills. Currently awaiting a call back from a supervisor. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. (I got signed up at walmart one evening). don't walk away from these people...RUN. I'm happy to provide copies of my electric bills to anyone who thinks I'm just leaving a bogus review. And if ZERO stars would have been an option, that's what I would've selected. ”

“ I enrolled while shopping because the gentleman told me I could cancel within the first ten days. So later I looked them up on BBB & found terrible reviews. They skyrocket your bill after the first three months, so I called 6 times in the first three days to cancel & kept being told they don't have my account or phone number on file (even thought they emailed me the contract & texted my phone for a survey)...I had to cancel the enrollment through Ameren...funny they submitted the request to Ameren but couldn't find me when I wanted to cancel.
