“ I've been a customer for a year. I received the reduced rate when I initially signed up. After 1 year and not signing a contract my rate went up 110%!! So, if you aren't monitoring your email or mail goes to spam expect to pay over 110% if you don't renew with them which I consider to be outrageous! I am reasonable and can understand an increase of 10-20%, but not 100% which in my opinion is them taking advantage of the situation. ”

I received a bill for November that is $564.99, which was $231 in February. When I called asking why & for some help on this bill I was told our "Service Expired" and I was being charged 21.9 cents/Kwh. I told them we never received a notice as emails may have gone to scam. The Rep would give me a $50 credit on our NEXT BILL IF WE SIGNED UP TO RENEW OUR SERVICE!! OML are you kidding me????? So SAD a company won't work with a Senior Citizen household that has not been late, or not paid their bills since moving into this home in 1988!!

Within 2 months they over doubled our rate without notice that there was going to be increases monthly. They are criminal in the way they go about their increases without notification. I would highly highly recommend staying as far away from this company as possible. Also please be aware to have friends/family/business associates stay away as well. ”
“ My last 2 monthly bills doubled. I am single, only person living in my home. I called cleansky customer service. The excuse I got, why my bill doubled, they sent a email to let me know I had to renew my contract, or I would be charged double the rate. I responded to the lady. This is not my email, you sent it to. You have my address, why wouldn't you send a letter to the address on my account ? Why wouldn't you call me ? There response was, since we have you on the phone we can lower the rate. I said, no you can cancel my account immediately. I got the response, I am sorry, it will take upto 7 business days to cancel and in those 7 days you will be billed the double rate. I called met- Ed, they canceled the account that this company rip hard working single women off. On this page of rating it makes you put a number in. My rating is do not use this company ”

Just a warning...pay close attention to when your contract expires. They have predatory billing practices.
I didn't realize that my term had expired. But I wasn't that concerned because it would just be fair market prices (I thought). My rates had quadrupled before I realized there was a problem. I did try to talk to customer service to be made whole they offered me an insult and Said it was the best they could do. The service itself we never had a problem with, but they are a bad faith company. Be careful. ”
“ I had Cleansky as my energy supplier without even realizing it for about 1.5 years. My rate was fine, about 0.07/kwh. Then one day, my bill shot up, and I see that my rate went up to 0.2/kwh. How it's even legal to almost triple my rate in one go is beyond me. ”
“ I had a one of their sketchy sales reps come to my door and he told me if i switched to them my rate would go from 10 cents a kwh to 5 cents a kwh. there was the first lie. next he told me to call into their company so i could take a survey after and he stood next to me during the entire thing and the survey even tells you to make sure they are not near you during it and he kept telling me what to say for the survey. then as soon as i got my first bill it was double what it normally was. i went from paying $70 to paying $150 a month. i then called to try and cancel and was put on hold for over 30 minutes and then told me that their rate is less than my normal supplier. another lie. they then told me that to cancel i would have to pay $75 which was not disclosed to me when i signed up. now its two months after i have canceled and somehow they are back to being my supplier when i never authorized it. and to add onto the already insufferable time ive had dealing with them this bill i used 100 less kwh then normal and somehow my bill was $160 which is $70 more than the last bill. ”
“ I registered on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, yet 11 times this week alone this company has tried to call my number from numerous locations out of Ohio. Heres a tip- if I dont reach out to you, DONT CALL ME! I know nothing about this company, but a business that takes it upon themselves to track down and desperately and repeatedly harasses people by non-stop calling should be a definite red flag. They may have the best sales associate manipulators around- NO WAY at this point would I EVER give this company any of my business! ”

“ I changed from another wind/solar provider to CleanSky. There was no information that they would not honor both a) my own solar panels and b) community solar. Potomac Edison didn't help, but the bottom line is that I was hit after complaining to Potomac Edison with a bill 3 months later that ignored all my solar benefits effectively meaning that I am paying twice since the forced me to pay CleanSky for my Gross kwh before taking into account the Net for Solar (which would have been close to zero). When I talked to CleanSky, they effectively said that I should have known when I ordered online that they didn't explicitly say that they honored solar (Whaaat? Really?). And that if I had called vs used the online ordering they would have warned me (Whaat? Really? can't order online and have solar). This is a scam if you already have solar and they don't care and won't honor the kwh from your solar. This is deceiving practice and evident of a broken system where one is actually penalized for trying to get all their energy from solar or wind instead of gas and coal. Very disappointed and hope that folks see warnings before they consider signing up for companies such as this. ”
