“ they gave us a comparable rate for a few months, then when it was time to renew they TRIPLED the rates. we got a bill that was several hundred dollars higher than what it would be with ppl. no way should this be allowed to happen the rates should not price gouge the customer if they dont switch and hop off month to month. “ Don't waste your time. First it's impossible to switch to them without calling, then going through 20 minutes of sales pitches for everything under the sun. Then they scam you with requiring a $275 deposit after supposedly running a credit check.My wife and I have 800+ credit scores and perfect payment history. After an hour on the phone, then 45 minutes texting with someone from India on their chat links, they insisted it would take up to 3 days for someone to reach out to do a manual credit check....what did they use my social for the first time I called to transfer? Total joke of a company, definitely will not be going with them...ever! ”
“ This Frontier Electric company is a fraudulent company that manufactures fake kw of electricity the customer has used. Before I moved to a different electric company, I always checked a whole year of how much kw I used monthly so that I can purchase a plan that works for me. I live in a small place, 944sq ft condo, I put the heat at 67 and cool at 78. I am very conscious of how much energy I used. I cook once a week as I don't mind eating the same thing for a week. I do not own a tv or computer, just a phone. My 2nd bill came for 587.21, they are thieves! They are claiming that I used over 2000 kw. Made up numbers! I have proof from a whole previous year how I do not used over 1000 kw a month. My electric meter was checked on 2023 and is working fine. This company is falsifying the electricity watts usage to rob the customers. Don't used them! Checked the BBB reviews with similar cases! ”
“ AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Their rates are ridiculous in comparison to other competitors. Charged me over $150 for less than one month's time in a unit NOBODY LIVED IN AND EVERYTHING WAS UNPLUGGED! I tried being reasonable and getting on a call with them several times to negotiate meeting in the middle and they refused. I asked to hear the "recorded" sales call where the outrageous rates were supposedly confirmed prior to me buying and they wouldn't allow me to- I wonder why that would be? This company is full of scammers GO ANYWHERE ELSE! ”
“ They charge you for duplicate days. Every billing cycle .. terrible pricing. They offer you a billing credit - do not accept that plan. My plan ended and for 10 days of electricity is $270 - submitting the previous bills to upper management to get resolved. ”
“ This is a horrible electric company. They have false advertisements on their plans. They will overcharge you each month for electricity even if you have a fixed rate. They will not disclose TDU charges to you, they will just double-bill you on the TDU charges. They will not help resolve your issues with billing whatsoever. Customer service is the worst and they just say the same thing over and over again. Will be getting off their electricity ASAP and will tell everyone else how horrible this company is! Do not fall for their cheap electricity plans because they are falsely advertised! ”
“ All these companies move you to a crazy-expensive plan upon expiration of the original deal. But, unlike others I have dealt with, Frontier doesn't let you cancel for two billing cycles. So, a gotcha scam! And shame on the PUC for letting this happen. ”

“ I renewed my existing account with Frontier but was told one thing and now they billed me a higher khedive rate. I suppose to have a fixed rate of 9.9 for 1000 kWh and then a little higher over 2000 kWh. My usage for this month was 1539 and Im being charged over $200.00 this month. This is nit correct but the company wont do anything about it. Im contacting my attorney as well as BBB. Im on a fixed income and I cant afford this. ”
“ I was less than 24 hours late paying my bill due to a death in the family. There was no notice, no grace period...nothing...only a late fee attached to my bill. I reached out to customer service and got ZERO response...just crickets. Then when I moved my service after a year, I get a $22 fee for using less than 100kW even though it was a partial service period. If I could give less than 1 star I would. ”
“ Excited about a low cost per unit of gas I signed up for Frontier Gas. After signing up I read the reviews. I was mortified. Immediately, I attempted to reach out and cancel my order. Frontier would answer the phone and as soon as I stated the purpose of my call they would put me on hold, up to an hour and half, this happened several times. When I was finally put in touch with someone who could "complete" my request I was told there would be NO confirmation email or verification number. I immediately contacted the gas company and relayed what had happened. They were able to stop my account from being transferred to Frontier. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! ”
“ The company will allow people to turn your service off without anyone's consent. Also, they will take a payment without recording the payment so it will look like a payment was never made. They will also run your credit several times and put you on fraud alert and charge you extra because of it. They are not properly trained and will transfer you to 5 people when they are asked to be held accountable for their mistakes. They made promises to correct the issue and when asked to have it in writing they first agreed, but 5 minutes later they denied it. As of right now, the trust with the company is completely gone. Do Not Use This Company. ”

They are quick to sign you up but after that try and get in touch with a customer rep. is like pulling teeth from a great white. 90+% of the time you get that same old recording for new service, and when you do get someone its a foreigner that you cant understand. Even then its a 3 ring circus trying to get something done.

“ Had two accounts with Frontier and moved service from one address to another. Without notice my due dates changed and paid for my service one day late after catching the adjusted due date. Not only do they charge a late fee they also charge a disconnect notice fee of $60. Really, I never received a notice. Why would you double bill a late pay of one day? My service was $90 and disconnect notice fee of $60? The scam you to get you in the door and then hope you pay one day late to bill you a late fee and disconnect fee for amounts equal to your usage. Total BS. Do NOT use this company. ”
“ Out of town on vacation (7/13-31 & 8/18-26/2022), turned off thermostats (upstairs and downstairs, as always when we are away). Only thing running was the refrigerator. Still charged me excessive usage charge even though we were away (have airline tickets as proof). I switched plans and informed Frontier. They continued to charge me, along with the new company even though I was no longer their customer. Horrible customer service to resolve both issues. Would not recommend or use this company again. ”

“ I just switch with frontier less then a month. Its says on their website satisfaction guaranteed. I called said 280 its too much, you are charging more money then my previous service, he was very rude, the person I talked to said go switch back so I did with TXU again. Now I received 521 dollar bill. R they stupid. Blood suckers. Money doesnt come from the Trees. Hes the one who told me to switch. Shame on them. Please do not trust them. ”
“ It was a mistake signing up with this company, I've been paying electricity bill for God knows how long. Highest i paid on electricity for a month was $180 cos i regulate usage in my house. I signed up with this Frontier utility, my first bill for 2 weeks was $191, i was blown away. The next bill i got was $500 for 1 month, i had to terminate their service ASAP. They later brought a bill of $400 for the my last 3 weeks.. Runnnnnn this shit is crazy. I paid electricity bill of $1,100 for 2 months.. This is what i normmaly pay for a whole year with JUST ENERGY. ”
