"Under New Management"

  Recently we have been getting phone calls and even a home visit with the messaging to "come back to Just Energy" and it will be better this time because they "under new management." We had several bad experiences with this company and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, regardless of the new promises of improvement. Be cautious when a company says "under new management" because it signals major problems and sometimes issues are too deep rooted to fix.

Terrible prices and customer service

  Ive had Just Energy for almost 2 years and my bills have consistently been over $150 for a small apartment that is barely occupied half the time. I work 50 hour work weeks and have good energy saving habits, always have. During covid I have had financial setbacks and they offer deferred payment arrangements that only get you stuck and make you fall even more behind. Ive had shut off notifications during the pandemic with no reach out after asking several times for a manager to give me a call. I have paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars to this company and they still want me to pay a cancellation fee. Dont do it, I work in customer service and this is by far NOT that nor do they care about their customers and the pandemic.

  I absolutely regret switching to this company. My bill is twice as expensive as with my other company and now that is winter my bill has only gone down $10 compared to the summer, I am absolutely disgusted with this company. Do not use Just Energy as your Electricity provider they are the worse.

just energy is the worst utility company i have ever dealt with

  terrible service, contantly calling to say im late paying bills i had not even recieved in the mail. trying to get anything done over the phone is the most aggravating experience i have ever had, i ask to have my bill explained and they transfer me to to texas, after 20 to 30 minutes on hold, the person in texas will tell me that they cant help me so they transfer me back to somewhere, supposedly in canada, then another 20 to 30 minutes on hold, you may get someone or you may get a machine that states due to covid19, they have changed their hours and are now closed, at 4 pm. i am still being charged for a place i moved out of 2 months ago, it took a month to get the service cancelled and i just got a call saying i owe 138 dollars more. this company is a compleye scam and i would not recommend it to anyone.

Bad customer service and very greedy

  I have been with them for years. I Freezes my account because my Lease was up. And they kept charging me for 3 months. Every time I called they are rude and unprofessional. Keep telling me that they will investigate the problem and it might take 3 to 10 business days and its been a month and still charging me. I will never recommend this company again.

  This company has a mobile app. The mobile app does not work you cannot pay your bill from the app. That is the whole purpose of the app is to be able to pay your bill and take care of your business online. But the way they have their set up is that it does nothing but merely waste your time and then after attempting over and over and over to pay your bill after countless man-hours you eventually run out of time then they double your bill if you can get energy from anywhere else in the world do it do not use these people I don't even know how they're in business they're not listed with the Better Business Bureau. Unless you just like throwing away money do not do business with these people

Complete scam

  Just Energy was advertised to me. I was told there would be absolutely no changes or additions to my bill in anyway. But actually an extra flat rate 50$ per month was tacked on and when I wanted to cancel they charged me a termination fee and referred it to a collections agency rather than just letting me pay it. This company is a complete scam and am pissed that I ever got involved.

  I am a Sam's Club member who was solicited by Just Energy while shopping at Sam's. I was talked into switching both electric and natural gas to JE. Going into the 3rd year i decided it was no longer feasible to stay with Just Energy. Upon switching to other suppliers I was hit with $100 early termination fee, which was $50 for each utility. It was not made clear when signing up and I do not recommend dealing with JE.

Dont get involved with this company

  I decided to try Just Energy. I signed on through a third party who searches for the best rates. They claimed I would be getting a rate of 9.2 pkh and would not have ANY additional fees. When my bill came it was 11.9 and every extra fee there could be. When I called JE they said they would have to investigate it and it would take 7-10 days. I checked back in 7 and in 10 days, trying to navigate their telephone wasteland where you can reach the correct person to help. I called at least 20 more times over the course of a couple of months ( meanwhile I switched back to Reliant). They kept telling me they were still investigating, no one ever helped me. Then they sent me to collections. I offered to pay them 200 dollars to end the madness. They wouldnt accept it.My time is worth something, I was sincerely trying to get to some type of resolution. After many many collection calls to not only me but also to my boyfriends number (not sure where they got that) I finally gave in and paid the damn money they requested. Please believe me, this is an awful company to do business with.

A real nightmare for 2.5 years

  My wife went to SAMs Club met a Just Energy salesman who told my wife sign up now and she has 3 days to think about it. Actually Just Energy switched the service the same day with 2 service contracts (we have two power meters), contracts for 2 years & 2.5 years. My wife called & told the office the same day that salesman promised her she has 3 days to decide and she does not want to sign up with Just Energy now. NO such a thing according to the office, once you are in, either break the contract or wait until the end of the contract. Oncore bought out our 2 years residential contract, but the 2.5 years contract is for a street light. Even Oncore does not offer any contract for a street light, but Just Energy considered it as a business contract which Oncore can not buy us out. The meter is in Oncore office, but Just Energy bill is 20% higher than Oncore. Especially, the street light bulb went off 7 months before the end of the contract, however Just Energy still charged us without any shame. Yes, we have been suffering from Just Energy for 2.5 years.

Frustrated and confused about the about charges

  I call myself leaving one company due to over charging me, price gouging on my bill and you guys aint no better. Im not home for a whole 14 hours every single day and the two hours I am home Im using bulbs that Im using batteries in, I dont have anything plunged in my walls, just the a/c is running and its on 76; no one lives with me, my windows has been tinted and I have black out curtains up on my windows,its extremely dark in my apartment. So WHY is my bill so high it just doesnt make any sense

The worse electrical company

  it is a scam I am a member of sams club I was shopping there and a just energy agent approached me and asked how much I was paying for electricity i said 250$ she said it too much she can help pay a lower electricity with just energy that I will save money. I said okay . And she enrolled me with just energy the first month my bill was 150 , second month 156$ and then it started going up 4 month later 400 $ and up I had to cancel the service when my lease end they sent me a final bill of 731 and threatening me to take it to collections if I don't pay i feel betrayed ripped lied used and I try to call customer service hold more than 1 hour no answer . When I called to cancel the customer service said he can find a better plan for me save money i told him that I was promised before I enrolled. It is so ridiculous. I need help to make it right

Horrible company-DO NOT USE

  An agent came out and sold to me, unknowing placed me in a 5 yr contract instead of the typical 2yr. I had switched companies as my bill jumped quite high expectantly. I had someone call in regard to my switch, he called to confirm I was aware of the 2yr contract. I told him that was fine I would pay the exiting fee. He then called back laughing stating I was in a 5 year contract. I called over and over again to speak with someone about the exiting fee. I finally received a call back and she was requesting a payment. I was advised if I was to pay x amount the remainder fee would be waived. A couple weeks later I received another email advising I still owed x amount. I tried contacting every phone number listed on every email with no luck of reaching anyone. I finally used google as if I was interested in being a new customer. Set on hold for 3 hours to only be advised they had no record of the fee being waived.

  I was hospitalized for a month. During this time my family moved my belongings out my apartment. My bill was not paid while I was hospitalized. On the day after being released, I paid my bill in full. Later that day, I received a text about my account. Upon calling the number, the agent was rude about the questions I asked. I also asked about my Just Energy Peak Points, that I accumulated doing paying my bill on time and I thought I was a valued customer. Have about 9,500 points which I can covert to a gift cards. I feel disrespected by this company, because I had illness, and needed to hospitalized, I been denied of points, I earned. And the by the way, I was in the V.A. Hospital.

  Since I started with this company, I have had nothing but problems with customer service, the information with customer service associates is inconsistent and horrible service. In times of crisis, they seem to not be willing to help people in hard times. I do not recommend this company whatsoever. The guy that connected me to it Ian Chufani and ended giving me alot of wrong information that I had verified with him from the beginning of me signing a contract and turned out to be a lot of wrong information and incorrect rates. To hell with this damn company.

  I am trying to pay online, system is not capable taking my payment.
I call all the numbers available some are not answering only one answers and I have been on hold over 39 minutes while I am typing this unacceptable experience. In brief I have been trying to pay the bill for last 3 days it is impossible. I just have to mail it in that is not convenient at this times of COVID19.
I canceled my service with this tyrons and unprofessional company that charging me 16 cents per Watt. few cents more I understand 6 cents more is highway rubbery.
