A happy Ambit customer..
This is 2018. I've had Ambit electric service since 2011. In all these years, I've never had a billing problem. Like the other companies, Ambit is a billing company. Oncor is the actual provider but I call Ambit if I have a problem. Lightening struck at my house about 4:30 A.M.in Feb, 2018. Among other damage, my transformer was blown so all electricity was out. I called Ambit. Within hours they had Oncor out here and before nightfall, the transformer was replaced. Before signing up with Ambit, I had tried two other electric companies. I had billing issues with both with errors on my account. Since joining Ambit in 2011, I have not had one billing error. I have to be conservative, but my electric bills have been something to brag about. Thus I'm happy with Ambit Service.

They switched me without my permission
Ambit Energy switched my service to them from Clean Choice without my permission. They are total scumbags.

DO NOT USE AMBIT ENERGY!
We signed up on-line for Ambit Energy in November 2021, and when the rate did not take effect one month later on our electric bill, we called to remedy the situation. At that time we were told it could take up to 2 billing cycles for the contract to take effect. When we called one month later in January 2022, we were told the 2 cycles must be two full cycles and 3 billings. When we called in February 2022, the rates had increased substantially. During this phone call, after 5 requests, we were finally transferred to a supervisor. Once we were in touch with the supervisor, we were put on hold for over 30 minutes while he reviewed our account. We were told about every 5 minutes that they were "still" reviewing our account - were they hoping we would just go away if they kept us on hold long enough? At the end of the waiting period, we were told our account was not verified through the website and even though we received an email stating we were enrolled on November 19th, 2021, Ambit would NOT honor their contract. They were "sorry" for the inconvenience. They are NOT TRUSTWORTHY and do not deserve your business!
