APG&E -- Profile Analysis

Everything is looking good now. Very helpful company.

Good experience overall and signing up was easy. They reached out a few days before my contract was set to expire and offered me a better rate than what was listed on their website.

I moved to Houston last month from Penn and I used this marketplace called Gatby to find the best electricity plans. APGE had great prices! Would definitely recommend.

Just signed up and so far things look good. My plan only started today so I don't have much history to go on yet, but the signup process itself was easy and straightforward. Looking forward to a good experience going forward.

Customer service was great for the new hookup and getting set up as a new customer. The issue is my monthly usage updates have shown zero usage since day one. I figured by two or three months in something would show up. I'd like my bill to actually reflect usage instead of staying at zero. It might just be because the account is still new, but I hope it doesn't stay that way since I like being able to track usage over time. Also, it would be great if there was a separate app instead of just the website for quick check ins and payments.

I called APG&E (3X) frustrated that I couldn't make changes to my own account. To my surprise and satisfaction, Mr Renzo calmed my concerns, addressed them in a timely manner and resolved my issue. Not a fan of this evening's celebration /Oct31st - however, this was definitely "a treat" pun intented.

She said power would be on the day after signup, a Saturday, but it didn't actually get turned on until two days later on Monday. We had to unpack and move in without power and even assemble furniture using flashlights. We couldn't even sleep at the new place because of it. I left a message Saturday and never got a callback. Went back again Sunday, still nothing. Monday a neighbor let me know the lights were finally on. Still waiting to hear back about the whole situation.

The first invoice they sent was incorrect and of course much higher than our contracted rate. I called them and got a shrug the shoulder answer from the customer service representative. I explained that not adhering to our contracting terms gives me the right to take legal actions which i will so then she forwarded it to her supervisor. The supervisor needed some convincing too but she then after some back and forth ended up escalating it to their billing operations. They corrected the invoice afterwards. So while the rates are great, having weak systems, processes combined with poor customer service does not give me the warm and fuzzy about them.

Stay away at all cost. Horrible service, over charge, total scam!!!! They will take advantage of you if given the opportunity.

The communication between apge and the customer is non existent. If you have a problem with the bill or any question you basically are out of luck. wait time on the phone is long and then its you will receive a follow up call or email if you are lucky. If I can have many customers leave or not choose apge and go somewhere else costing this company revenue is the only way they may change ther business practice.

Well- Looks like signing up with this outfit may have been a mistake. 3 calls to them and no answer. Over 20 minutes of hold time. Looks like I'll be filing a complaint and ditching this contract. My old supplier at least answered the phone.....

Don't be deceived by an initial good price. In making a future transition, you can sign a new contract with another provider many weeks ahead of time, but APG&E will manage to arrange things so that you pay another month with them at a skyrocket variable rate. And don't trust representatives who assure you that you are all set and everything has been done in a timely manner so as to avoid higher costs. The company can drag its feet for up to 45 days.

Reps encouraged me not to switch till a two-week window to avoid early termination fee. I switched three weeks ahead of time, but then APG&E didn't end my relationship, but instead slapped me with a variable rate. You can't win with this company. Don't be misled by an initial good price.

Submitting an application to transfer my elec service from a different provider to APG&E was a nightmare. I went in circles with them and wasted over 2 days to perform a 5 minute task. The APG&E email did not work properly and they were unable to email the application docs or contract to me. Went in circles with customer support staff for 2 days.

They will almost triple your rate automatically if you don't cancel before the contract expires!!!

Ap electric will more than double your rate as soon as the promotional period expires with no notice. My electric went from under $300 to almost $1,000 in one month.

Sent NOTHING to renew or change, upped the rate and hit us with a huge bill! I've spent days calling and get no one to pick up a phone! After looking at their reviews I see...NOTHING BUT A SCUM COMPANY! I should of looked first!!! Lesson learned!

I've been being over charged by APG&E, they have some how lost the contract we renewed. I've spoke with the sales person I renewed the contract with, I've spoken to the manager, to 3 other people for over a month. Nothing has happened. They have not sent me even a confirmation email of the credit I am supposed to be receiving. They keep giving excuses saying that PPL takes a long time while I keep getting charged over $1000 for electricity bill. DO NOT CONTRACT with them!

APG&E is the worst company EVER! I'm still on the phone trying to get my credit for $1700- they completely overcharged me- and they will NOT get back to you with a response. BE AWARE! don't contract with them. It's just better to contract with PPL. APG&E has been charging a lot more than what PPL has to offer. They keep giving excuses saying my contract is not on file- FOR TWO MONTHS! while I get charged for $1700 per month for electric bill.

This company will not stop calling me. Yesterday I was on an important phone call and they called THREE times consecutively from a local phone number, I was afraid it was an emergency so I ended my call to answer theirs...and was extremely annoyed. I will never do business with them.
