They mess up and you are out of luck DO NOT TRUST
| I signed up with Nextera on 21 April 2023 for a start date of 09 May 2023, Long story short they messed up the account #. I informed them that day of the account # they sdaid the would fix it and Keera" informed me what is on my bill from my electric company does not matter, they go by what they have. After numerous calls to them and finding out it had not cleared as of 09 May 2023 they finally straighten it out and now inform me that it will not start until 15 May 2023. The 'Supervisor" Lori gets testy with me when I said they messed up and states "well it is fixed now". I will be looking at other providers now. Do not trust them. | |||

SCAMMERS
| I started my service with West Penn Power and next era in Feb of 2017. When I signed up the power company required to transfer my call to an outside company to pick my supplier. Once on the phone with them I said I just wanted service through WPP. She stated that was NOT POSSIBLE. I had to pick a supplier from a list. She started naming names of energy suppliers. I had no idea who any of these suppliers were as I always had Duquesne light and they just provided electricity through themselves. She told me she would pick one for me and signed me up for NEXT ERA. Since then it has been 7 years of ridiculous rates that I just thought was normal for the area we moved to. Every month was at least $350. During winter watch out. Last January $700+. This month (Feb 2025) $860! This prompted me to call AGAIN. This time WPP tells me that NO, I do not have to have service through next era energy and if my service was solely through WPP my bill this month wouldve been less than half what Next Era charged. I was then given the number to the PA public utility commission to file a case. The lady was stunned and said there will be an investigation. If this happened to you in PA I implore you to also contact the PA public utility commission to start a case (1-800-692-7380). I think deceptive practices were going on within the supplier company that gave commissions to people for signing people onto other suppliers. I wasnt even given the option to choose WPP for my supplier and also was denied a paper bill because it would cost me more Im thinking they didnt want me to see the rate difference on my bill. 7 years and thousands of dollars later I am hopefully free of this scam company. | |||
