Verde Energy has a great starting rate
Currently using Verde Energy through PPL and haven't had any issues yet. Last company after fulfilling my year, decided to charge me 2x my normal rate, so I switched. I will see how Verde Energy charges after my contract is completed.

Net Metering 50 kw of theft by Verdeenergyusa
You advertise net metering but do run around as you state to extent you provide it. Which is none . You claim that my utility sets it up but they say PPL that you must do the set up docs required and they send all net metering info. to you.

Poor customer service liars
Was promised a low rate for staying with verde energy when trying to cancel new supplier and stay with them was given the run around. Passed back and for with no one taking responsibility. Now that I did what verde and ppl asked me to do. I called back to verde and they told me the offer expired. Told the supervisor all I did is what they and ppl told me to do. He stated nothing he can do. Very very poor service avoid these people all costs

I had a six-month contract with them. I received a couple of letters and a call letting me know my renewal time was coming up. I renewed before my contract expired except they did not honor the price of the new contract. Instead, they increased the amount by almost 300%. When I reached out to customer service, I spoke to four people who all told me there was nothing they could do about it besides send me a $50 gift card and sign me up for a new rate that was even more expensive than the rate on the new contract they claimed they couldn't see. However, the price they overcharged me was almost $200. So, they would still be overcharging me! DO NOT choose this provider. They are sketchy and don't stand by what they advertise.

I signed a 1 year deal with Verde because I wanted to take a chance on a new affordable company. My policy ended in January 2023. Their renewal tripled so I was prepared to move back to DLC but I had a Stroke a was hospitalized. This caused me to miss the deadline thus they automatically renewed me. I was charged so much. I called and switched now and put an appeal in the adjust those funds. WS denied twice without reason. If there was ever a reason to approve an appeal, I feel like an inability due to medical condition is one of them. Will never recommend this company to anyone.
