Problems with Fees and Charges (701 reviews)
Should of done more research
“ You can easily find better alternatives than this company. My last bill was $116 for electricity charges (which isnt too bad) and then a $82 "utility service charge!" I understand having service charges but not for an amount that is more than half of my electricity usage. Suffice to say I will not renew with this company. ”

A 10 Year Downward Spiral
“
After more than a decade with Trieagle, my small company has moved on. In the beginning, this was a small electric company and all its services were good. The price was reasonable and the staff was helpful. Sadly, about 2 years into our time with them, I had to get ugly to get a review of a meter reading and an explanation of the answer I was given. However, between the time it was taking away from work and the daunting task of looking for a new provider, I decided to stay with them.
As the years went by, I noticed that, for all the new additions of "conveniences" through their customer service, there were some decidedly inconvenient things happening and I was still having to get ugly to get services taken care of. For example, when I explained that our mail service had become completely unreliable, it took another 10-12 months to get our account set up to pay online. So, for this time frame, our payments were always late and the late fees were exorbitant. I paid because it was not their fault the USPS was hiring inadequate carriers. But this went on so long I began to question their system, customer service and overall business ethics. Again, feeling the pressure of time constraints, I maintained my relationship as a customer.
The straw that broke the proverbial camel's back was when I got a broker to research new plans and they not only refused to give me a lower rate, but insisted that they would raise it. I signed with another company and am not looking back. I was sad that my 10 years+ meant so little to them, but am happy to say I'm saving a LOT of money with another company. ”

Bait and switch
“ I was a customer with this company for last 5 yrs. when it was time for my renewal, I called the CS and asked for better rates, so they offered me a plan saying there is no fees or additional charges or no minimal charges. I accepted because rates were very competitive. Only after I got my first bill I understood that they cheated me to get a plan which had TDCU charges separate from energy charges, that means, I have to pay more than double what I was told my plan charges will be. for example, i thought I agreed for 11.4c per kwh but I have to pay 24.37c per kwh because TDCU charges and taxes are billed separately on the same bill. ”

HORRIBLE
“ Customer Service Reps have no idea what they are doing or talking about. My Rep gave me the WRONG information. I paid my past due bill, asked if my service would be disconnected he stated NO you are good. Dont believe them.... I was disconnected away 30 minutes after the conversation. Charged a reconnection fee also, No one had answers of why i should still have to pay that fee. rep also told me my services were on at the time of the call, they were NOT. Took 5 calls back to them, supervisor transfer and still nothing. Their fees are cheap to get the service, however they are extremely difficult with everything else. FIND ANOTHER SERVICE COMPANY. ”

TOO MUCH
“ This place is horrible. I have NEVER had electric bills so high. They are non caring. They cut my lights off even though I advised them I had epilepsy. I told them I just needed time to come up with the fees. I told them I simply forgot and my neurologist advised them that it may have been due to medication. But they did not care. This is the worst company ever. ”
