Unethical practices

  So I am on a deferred payment arrangement because I got behind in my bill a while back when I was in a hardship so I pay my monthly bill each month on top of a deferred payment that's working off my past due balance, but if you're ever late they take you off of this payment arrangement and then make you pay a deposit of three times your monthly bill, knowing you're already struggling financially hence the reason why you're on a payment plan to begin with. It's not clear exactly what they consider late I've been two days late before and I've been 2 weeks late before had nothing happen when I was 2 weeks late but then when I'm 2 days late they're sending a shut off notice, there is no consistency. They mess with people's bills right before the winter when they know that they can't shut the power off and also in the hottest part of the summer when they know people are dependent on their electric for AC and that's when they choose to start penalizing and charging outrageous deposits which should be illegal. I've always said deposits should only be for new services or for restoration of services that have been shut off not randomly charge while your service is still activated.

  Youd have a better experience with a crank flashlight and some matches. This company is absolutely worthless and seems to go out of the way to ensure you wont get proper customer service.

Power outages

  My power is out couple times a month on average maybe more, can't understand how this is possible you swear I live in Rome Alaska, then when you call in to them you get to talk to an animated person but they never miss on sending that bill every month! How bout everytime the power goes take some money off my bill to start! If your gonna tell me it's trees falling in your lines then cut them away from your power lines or pay someone to do it with the money you charge your customers! Come on get your act together people

Sales person sold me a scam

  Sales person caught me on a good day walking in to HEB in South Texas showed me apple to apples said I would get a better rate (lower teens).. 1st billed came in an it was outrageous almost double of what my old company had

  I've called 4 times over 2 separate days, on hold for much of those calls -- including a total of 2 hours today. Finally was talking to someone who seemed to be able to help me, and got cut off. Absolutely Infuriating! Not sure how I'm going to get this done. Met Ed: your customers have actual lives to attend to. Do Better!! And PUC: please look into whether or not this company is able to able to provide adequate service their customers deserve better.

Worst customer service ever.

  Waiting over 2h on the phone, transfer to different departments because the employees are incompetent to do their job and finish my process.But to charge my card that was fast oh yes they did it in seconds. Cant even get the address right and cant even activate my account. Ridiculous . Wish we had another option for electronic service.
