Horrible Customer Service for Renewal

  It took 28 minutes to renew. When you think your done, they transfer you to another person to verify your renewal which screams of cover-your-***. They don't even ask questions based on renewal, but "do you agree to switch?". Switch? I am already with you. Then they repeat the exact same question. The verifying agent is rude and unprofessional. I was approved for a car loan quicker than renewing with Clearview. They should rename to FoggyView.

  Be very aware of these scammers. As soon as your contract ends they will automatically switch you to an exorbitant rate that will exceed any prior savings. Trying to reach a person is impossible.

  As a former Constellation customer with 800+ credit score, I was expecting the switch back to Constellation to take just 5-10 min. instead, it took 10 days, multiple calls and emails. I walked away from it, but then was contacted by someone from corporate team who actually got everything done in 2 min.

Broken Promise and attempts to repeat if I renew

  Smart Energy called me and offered me a $200 gift card if I stayed with the company at least six months. At the six month bill I sent it to the company showing Smart Energy as my supplier as I was asked to do. I never received the $200 gift card. Fast-forward to six months later when its time to renew, I called the company to inquire about upcoming rates. The service rep immediately looked at my account and said oh I see you havent got your $200 gift card. Then he said they would process the $200 gift card if I renew with the company. I flat out refused and told him I would not do business with a company who does not respect their customers enough to keep the promises they made. This was a very disappointing and underhanded interaction with smart energy. In addition they raised my rate during the contract. I will report this to PUCO. This unjust behavior needs to be exposed.
