Very Deceptive !
“ A very lovely young woman came to our door and led us to believe we were signing a "petition" of sorts to help "our community" obtain lower rates for our gas and electric usage. When I checked my e-mail, I realized that I had SIGNED a CONTRACT to change utility suppliers! My husband and I SHOULD have known better! We live in an HOA with mainly senior citizens, as are we, shame on this "nice", smooth-talking woman. She repeatedly assured us that she "did NOT represent any utility ! Her badge stated "I am not a utility employee", and THAT is true, BUT PAG&E , which is at the top of her badge IS a utility company - "Pennsylvania Gas and Electric" located in DALLAS,TX ! Don't be taken in like we were. We were able to cancel the contract - this "customer service" was excellent -which we did within hours. ”

Be Careful - Predatory Customer Service
“
I shop for rates a lot. My contract was running down and they offered me rates HIGHER than the default rate. When i told them i would rather cancel their service and return to the default rate (saving 30%) they told me "don't do that, PPL is just going to raise that rate in june and you'll be sorry". They also pointed out if i did NOT accept the 30% higher rate, I would go into a true variable rate and "My bill be very high and i don't want that"
It took 10 seconds to get a customer service rep. When i stated "OK I would like to cancel and get the PPL default rate" - i was put into a 15 minute hold queue and forced to leave a message.
Everything about this interaction was meant to frustrate me and bully me into paying them a higher rate.
I called PPL - outside of the 35 min hold time they were amazing. Once i confirmed I gave them permission - they cancelled the supplier for me and put me back on the default rate. In addition they ALSO encouraged me "Please keep shopping for better rates, we likely don't offer the best".
And of course I will be shopping again - but never again with APG.

Support is a joke
“
Rude representative, atttude from the time she answered the phone. UGI sent me an emailed and told me my bill was passed due. But I have auto pay, I payed it since it apparently didnt work. UGI then charged me twice.
To get a refund they give you the run around. They want a formal letter from my bank saying they wont reject the return. My bank doesnt even understand. Quick to take $$$ but cant return it. ”

AP&G are snakes - beware
“ AP&G starts out with a lower rate after 3 months, its doubled, in the 4th month its almost tripled! When I call, they quickly offer to lower back to the initial rate if I sign up again if they can offer this so quickly, you know they are a shady organization. Be very aware of this provider the they will rob you blind if you let them. ”

Horrible Customer Service for Renewal
“ It took 28 minutes to renew. When you think your done, they transfer you to another person to verify your renewal which screams of cover-your-***. They don't even ask questions based on renewal, but "do you agree to switch?". Switch? I am already with you. Then they repeat the exact same question. The verifying agent is rude and unprofessional. I was approved for a car loan quicker than renewing with Clearview. They should rename to FoggyView. ”

Scammers
“ Be very aware of these scammers. As soon as your contract ends they will automatically switch you to an exorbitant rate that will exceed any prior savings. Trying to reach a person is impossible. ”
