Hudson Energy was founded in 2002 in New York to specialize in commercial electricity services. They expanded to commercial electricity service in New Jersey, Illinois, and Texas before being purchased by Just Energy in 2010.
Just Energy is a massive electricity and natural gas company that services Canada and the United States and has the distinction of being the largest green energy retailer in North America. In total, they service more than 1.6 million residential and commercial customers.

Great energy company! Outstanding customer service! My assistant thought they had setup auto pay for Hudson energy but did not. So i recieved a call after bill had not been paid in a few months. Don't Ever Choose Hudson Energy
I went through an energy broker and signed up for a 27 month contract. Once the contract ended, I chose a new supplier through the same energy broker. Now three years later, I get a letter from a collection agency stating that i still owed them money. The bills were always paid though our local electric company so there is no way that we could not have paid through the end of the contract. Even if there was still money due, which there was not, we never received any letters or correspondence before the account was submitted to a collection agency.
