“  WGL came in at a lower than first energy and now Im paying 3 cents per KWH higher than first energy in Pennsylvania. I transferred back to first energy and now theyre hitting me up with a $90 cancellation charge that they never told me about on the phone. My recommendation is to stick with your local utility provider and stay away from companies like WGL that has hidden penalties so they can take more money from you. ”

“  I was contacted about switching to their .049 rates and that it would be variable and I would be informed every month what the new rate would be so I could cancel or continue. After my first initial bill I received one letter saying that the rate would be 8.9. I just received my latest bill and my current rate is $.14 per kilowatt, which is outrageous. I was never told it was going to be that high. When I signed up, the spokespersons said I would be informed. When I called them, I was just told that they dont inform people. All they did was send me a letter saying that my current rate was going to expire and that there was nothing to be done. Do not give them business as they are extremely dishonest about their rates. ”

“  Been a customer of Met-Ed for over 4 years at 1 address... trying to move my account to another address has so far, taken me 3 days and still no resolve. FINALLY got a call back today, the A$$hole on the phone pretended he couldn't hear me, then just hung up. If I had a choice to use a different power company and pay more, I 100% would do that. This company is TERRIBLE at looking after the people who pay for this terrible service. ”

“  I have been with JUST ENERGY for a year in a half. When I first started my bill was 150.00. Found out that I had two bills in the same apartment complex. They fixed that part. However my bill went from 150-400 dollars. I live in a two bedroom apartment on the second floor. I was told that the reason why is because I live on the second floor. Then I was told that its because I don't have brand new appliances. I call every other month and ask them to come and check my box. They tell me that they cant. I was also told that I was under a two year contract and wasn't told that. How am I under a two year contract when my apartment lease in only 1 year. I was also told that another reason why my bill is so high is because its 107 outside. I keep my Air on 76. I make sure everyday that everything is unplugged and off most of the day. I also have cameras as well. I have so much footage of it being dark and my next bill was even higher. I was told that now that its because I have free weekends and when I don't use it a lot on the weekend that's what makes my bill higher as well. So I got 10 different reason why my bill is high but, nobody is looking into it. I left Direct Energy because they offered me this amazing deal. However I am glad that I am moving and will not be using this company. I have never in my life paid a light bill that is between 400-500 a month. its more then my car payment. I went to all the people in the apartment and found out that they where paying 200 for there's and they are with a different company. Then I asked for a payment arraignment and they gave me 3 days to pay a 450 dollar light bill. Most companies give you a week in half OH NO NOT THEM! DO NOT WALK YOU MUST RUN! ”

“  Avoid American Power & Gas.

They charged me 18.5525 per kWh through my PECO bill while PECOs own price-to-compare was about 12 per kWh. On 2,462 kWh of usage, that cost me approximately $161 more in a single month for the exact same electricity.

The sales pitch may sound like a PECO-related option, but it is a separate third-party supplier. In my case, it was an outrageously expensive one. I would strongly recommend that anyone check the Electric Supply line on their PECO bill before enrollingor immediately switch back to PECO default supply if this company is listed.

I feel taken advantage of. Avoid. ”
