RPA Energy -- Profile Analysis

Customer services is my specialty! i called with a Complaint and Dexter the Customer Service Manager Took care of my Concerns. His patient and knowledge was superior! No matter how upset i was he Handled It!! Great Asset to RPA company. If you have any issues please call and ask for Him!

Was informed when contacted that because I just turned 60 years old and paid my bills on time, taht I was eligible
for a 30 % discount on electric. Was told rate was 7.7 per KWH but turned out to be 9.5 per KWH.. Took two months to switchover and after they did, they billed me twice in June 2018.As far as I am concerned, they (RPA) owe me at least $200.00. and I am about to file a complaint with PUC on their actions. RPA!!, If you read this review, I suggest you stop you deceptive practices.

Worst service ever I requested to cancel my account I spoke with Ymon she was really rude. Upon my request I asked for cancellation number she was so rude Iasked her for her name again and she completely hung up. Called again the rep transferred me to her I asked for supervisor and she just transferred me to the automated system. These third party suppliers are only ripping people on their electric and gas bill.

I cancelled with them in July of this year after I found out they were charging 40 percent more than com ed. it is now October and their name is still on my bill.

Table set up in front of State of Illinois Building (Chicago) with reps offering "information" about 100% renewable energy. I asked for a brochure. They didn't have one. I gave my contact info so they could send me one to read. Sales guy said someone would call the next day to answer any questions. No one called. A week later I got a notice from Com Ed that I had been switched to RPA. I did NOT authorize any change! I immediately called ComEd and jumped through all the hoops to switch back, which was a pain. RPA is a total rip-off! BTW, the liar who signed my fake "contract" with RPA is named Robert Jackson.
Addendum: This may have been a third-party slammer, since on closer reading I found that contract says "WeWork c/o RPA" and includes a $5.00 monthly "service charge."
Tackier and tackier!

I got a knock on my door from a representative of RPA Energy, she stated that Im most likely getting charged more than I should as far as ***** supplying gas/electricity to my apartment. The whole script the she gave sounded real good, but I felt as if I was scammed. She Gave me the whole run down and said that I would be expecting a call from someone in 30 seconds. It seemed sketchy that she already had an account wrote down for me. She also insisted that I reply yes to the questions verifying my information. I researched some reviews of this company and sure enough its seeming like a big scam. I would like to cancel my enrollment with this business immediately

They are a scam my bill went from 24.70 to 344.00 in 30 days give me the run around

They lie about "a mistake on your recent bill" when they call you to try to get you to reinstate your contract. Hung up on me twice, spammed me with calls even after I asked to be put on their DNC.

Man at table set up in front of government building asked if I wanted info about renewable energy. I was in a hurry, didn't have time to talk, asked him to mail it to me and gave my address. Next thing I know, my electric supplier had been switched to RPA. I called repeatedly, said I had not authorized the change. It took THREE MONTHS to get rid of them. BEWAREThese are ruthless predators!

My electric bills doubled in 2 months were 415.00 for a small one bedroom apt and I am hardly ever home. I tried to cancel but got the run around for months. It took 3 months and 600.00.

IT DOUBLES YOUR ELECTRICITY COST AND IT IS NOT RENEWABLE ENERGY. They lied to me and said they sourced "clean" energy - turns out they source primarily natural gas (cleaner than coal, sure, but NOT cleaner than renewables). When I called customer service, the call center staff person told me natural gas was fossil fuel free. What a joke. There are many alternative options to get cheaper power from renewables through other providers.

They lied about my electric bill. Rather than saving money, my bill doubled.

these people are some liers they have you thinking your bill will be lower and its not i work alot and there is no way every month my bill should be 300 then they lie and say they going to send you a gift card a lie i never recieved a gift card all i recieved was a high ass bill and guess what i canceled it soon as i realized i was being RIPPED OFF !!!!!

IF I COULD POST THIS REVIEW WITH NO STARS I WOULD'VE BECAUSE THEY DON'T DESERVE THE 1 I GAVE. THEY ARE SOME LIARS. THEY TOLD ME MY BILL WOULD BE LOWER THAN WHAT IT ALREADY WAS ONLY FOR IT TO GO UP AND UP EVERY MONTH. MY LAST STRAW WAS A BILL FOR 159. MIND YOU MY BILL BEFORE THEM WAS ONLY 60. I CANCELLED MY SERVICE WITH THEM THE BEGINNING OF JULY. I WAS NEVER TOLD IT TAKES 1-2 BILLING CYCLES TO SEE THEM OFF MY BILL. SO I NOW I HAVE A BILL FOR 208 WITH THESE PEOPLE STILL ON MY BILL ABC THEY'RE TELLING ME THEY CAN'T SEE IT IN THEIR SYSTEM. I CALL BS. THEY HAVE 3 DAYS TO FIX THIS BEFORE THEY HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM ON THEIR HANDS. OH AND I NEVER RECEIVED MY GIFT CERTIFICATE CERTIFICATE EITHER.

Terrible sham

They were my less than mediocre energy supplier at an old address I lived at, but I have since closed that comed account and moved to a location where my energy bills are included in the rent. Suddenly, for seemingly no reason, 18 months after having moved, they begin calling me multiple times a day to discuss my plan. After telling them I was not the holder of the energy plan and did not have the authority to change my supplier I was told they would take me off their calling list and close my account with them. So of course they immediately start calling me every day again with even greater frequency. I eventually got fed up enough to answer and demand I be removed from their system, whereupon they started asking for my information and trying to get me to re-enlist with their awful service with automated surveys and questions, completely ignoring me as I repeatedly told them "I DON'T LIVE AT THAT ADDRESS ANYMORE!", "I AM NOT THE PLAN HOLDER AT MY NEW RESIDENCE AND CAN'T CHANGE IT!", "I DO NOT WANT YOUR SERVICE!"

I have been receiving calls non-stop from RPA Energy. I requested that the calls be discontinued. The calls are made day and evening. If I were interested in this company, the customer service would prevent me from enrolling in this company. Simply a nuisance.

One of their sales person came to the order ,claimed that since you get your energy supplies from pse&g , they get out of state supplier, switching with em will have my supply of energy portion disappear because they are in state suppliers. Surprise to me , with em my bill is always close to $200 even in summer . winter was higher than that , waited few months than i figured it out . they jus liar's and scam you by lie . after switching back to Pseg and their chosen supplier my bill went back to $100 .

Fradulently started charging me without my consent. Intimidated my underage daughter (17 yes old) into giving them my information because they claimed to come from Comed.

Outrageous experience with this people. They said my bill will decrease and that their rate is lower than PSEG. I'm going to be paying more $, when I used less electricity. I feel robbed and outraged. This is unbelievable.

Twice this company sent 2 different young men to my mother's home to try and convince her to sign up. Both times she was scammed. Once with a $50 Visa gift card and this last time (which was recent) the young man came into my mother's house and used his phone to take a screenshot of a gas and electric bill that belonged to the landlord of the place she lived in (the gas bill got sent to her home by accident.) Later on when she got her gas and electric bill from BG&E, she saw she was enrolled with "RPA Energy" without her permission. This is the same company who has called her from different numbers, even when she's stated not to call her and take her off their calling list, insisting she sign up with them. Not only has your company crossed the line of harassment, but now your employees are taking screenshots of OTHER PEOPLES mail just to get their information. My mother is almost 80 years old, I've hung up on your company before because I refused to let your employees harass her while I was in her home. Expect legal action if this continues.

They came to your door and told you you will pay less with the green energy than PSEG. Then my utilities bill doubled. Took me a few months to figure out it was them. Don't use their service

They suddenly changed the rate without any notice. My bill went up by nearly 50% even though my electric usage was less than half compared to the previous bill. I called my supplier to find out why the bill spiked, but they said there's nothing they can do other than switch back to direct supply. DO NOT USE THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS OR ECO-FRIENDLY BULL THEY TRY TO SELL TO YOU.

They arrive at homes asking for the electricity and gas receipt from PSEG. They fill out a form, sign it themselves, and call the RPA customer service center so that another of those crooks can approve the supposed affiliation with RPA. We had to call RPA to disaffiliate ourselves from this scam and they charged us $100 for fees from the famous PARTNER RPA !!!!.

My fianc and I were told my a representative who came to our door in December 2022 that we would save on our energy bills with RPA by going green. Instead we have seen 200% increase on our bills per month. I would never recommend this service.

I am a new Immigrant to this country. Their staff just made you sign a lot of documents and said it's for your home energy use without telling the purpose. They changed my suppliers and the price went super high, four times higher than my original suppliers. And you have to call to cancel. Be aware of their staff coming to your door!

They signed my 94 year old mother up over the phone. I am her son and pay her bills. I have her with PECO and would never switch. This Company is not reputable. DON"T DEAL WITH THEM

Would never recommend RPA energy to anyone. Truth be told they misinform you about their kWh.

I was switched to this company without my knowledge or approval they charged me .15 cents per kilowatt. My electric bill more then doubled! I received a bill from peco for over $350 for that previous month. I called and questioned it, they said It was cause my new supplier was way!! Over charging me! This is a huge legal issue and fraud!

Technically RPA is a 100% renewable and Real energy supplier, so it's not like what they did is an actual scam, but I was never told that I was switching Suppliers. I was told that this was a required action from PECO and that it's just updating in the system to lower my overall bill. But then I got charged WAY MORE! The guy did say my first Bill would be a lot of money and then my second bill would be a very low amount (Which did happen) but I was only paying like $20 less than my previous supplier once my third bill came in. Anyway this got me looking at different Suppliers for Renewable Energy and I found RPA and my previous supplier were the more expensive options, so I didn't even switch back to my old supplier and signed up for a supplier that had never even attempted to contact me (was way cheaper too)
